Jeffrey Brian Iverson is a Las Vegas–based entrepreneur and executive leader recognized for building, scaling, and optimizing high-impact organizations in the behavioral health, substance use treatment, and social services sectors. With nearly two decades of leadership experience, he has established himself as a results-driven operator specializing in program development, regulatory strategy, and integrated care models serving complex and underserved populations.
Iverson is the founder of Freedom House Sober Living Las Vegas (2010) and Crossroads of Southern Nevada (2018)—organizations that have collectively provided structured housing, treatment services, and recovery support to thousands of individuals navigating substance use disorders, mental health challenges, and criminal justice involvement. He is also the co-founder of the Shine Light Foundation (2020), a nonprofit focused on outreach, stabilization, and long-term reintegration for individuals experiencing homelessness.
Drawing from both lived experience and executive leadership, Iverson brings a uniquely pragmatic perspective to behavioral health innovation. Through Checkmate, he partners with emerging and established providers to navigate complex regulatory environments, optimize service delivery models, and build resilient, scalable businesses in an increasingly competitive healthcare landscape.
Respected for his direct leadership style and operational discipline, Iverson is a sought-after advisor and builder for organizations looking to achieve both measurable outcomes and meaningful impact. His work continues to shape how behavioral health services are delivered—bridging the gap between compassion, compliance, and performance.
